There are two types of Home Insurance and described as follows:

Buildings Insurance

Covers damage to the structure of your home such as the walls, roof and floors and permanent fixtures and fittings, like kitchens and bathrooms. Buildings insurance will usually be a condition of your mortgage.

Contents Insurance

Covers things you keep in your home, such as furniture, electronic appliances and the majority of your personal belongings you want to keep safe.

You can buy the policies separately or jointly from one provider depending on your needs.

Are you a landlord?
Don't forget that you need specific landlord buildings insurance, a 'normal' policy is no longer suitable. Give us a call and we'll help you find the right policy.

Insurance

Our fees and charges:

Insurance:

We will not charge you a fee for our services relating to insurance, but we will receive commission from the product provider. The commission will be calculated as a proportion of the premiums paid for the insurance product.

You will receive a quotation which will tell you about the fees and charges relating to any insurance policy that we recommend.

Mortgages:

For our advice services, we will charge a standard fee of £295.00 This can increase depending on individual circumstances. If you have a clean credit history and the mortgage is not of a complex nature, we charge a fee of £295. If the application is more complex, for example if you have an impaired credit history or you’re looking for debt consolidation, the fee we charge will be £495.00.

We do not charge fees for product transfers with existing lenders.

These fee becomes payable upon submission of the recommendation.

We will also be paid a procuration fee by the lender. The amount of the procuration fee will be disclosed to you.

You have the right to ask us to provide information on the range of procuration fees that the lenders on our panels offer to us.

 

If an application is submitted to a lender via a packager (a 3rd party specialist) we will be paid commission by the packager. This will be disclosed to you.
